Looking at the cell phone market there seems to be a release every other month, giving the consumers overabundance of choices. But the cellphones have started coming out with two-year service agreements. However buying a new cell phone every few months isn’t actually a smart buy.
With the amount of cell phones getting released upcoming new phone releases, so this is just a sampling of what’s out there.With the iPhone getting priced at $97 at Walmart, I feel you can spend a little more to get a better product. These are some of the products that you can choose from.
Sprint’s HTC Evo is the first 4G phone that is all set for release on the June 4. The phone has a 4.3-inch screen and has a 8 megapixel camera. The best part is you can connect to an HDTV to watch HDTV movies which is among the best features. It is an upgrade from the Sprint’s HTC Hero and the Samsung Moment, so hold off on buying those phones.
Motorola has also come up with the new Droid, the all new Droid Shadow that replaces the Motorola Droid. The Shadow has a8mp camera and 720p video.
Verizon’s LG Ally will be replacing the Verizon LG enV and enV touch. This new gadget will have qwerty keypad, a 3.2-inch touchscreen, 600 mhz processor, and runs on android( Hot, isn’t it!!!)

The LG GS290 Cookie Fresh is an inexpensive touch screen mobile phone with a youthful design. It costs Rs 7,500 and comes in 10 colours and although its feel is quite unsophisticated, it’s sure to appeal to youngsters. When it comes to the interface, it is quite simple, user friendly and attractive. With eye-catching icons and widgets on the home screen, the phone has a sporty look. On to the specs, the handset sports a 3-inch display (240 x 400 pixels) and is clear and bright, but since it employs resistive technology, one has to press harder to get things done.
The keys — the call button and end/power buttons, below the screen — have a good feel and are conveniently placed. The volume rocker and a microSD card slot are located on the left edge, while the camera and screen lock keys and a microUSB port are on the right edge. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack at the top of the device. The camera doesn’t give one much to cheer about, shooting at two mega pixels. It also lacks a flash, leaving you to at a loss in low-light conditions. However, the image and video quality is acceptable considering its price.
The music interface is simple and effective and lets you perform basic functions like repeat, shuffle, forward, back, create and edit play lists. With built-in equalisers, the speaker is a lot louder and clearer than many of the phones in its category. The external memory can be extended up to 8 GB, sufficient for young users. The phone has three home screens which can be flicked through with a horizontal finger sweep. One of them is the LiveSquare that allows you to put up animated avatars representing frequently contacted people (see picture). You can see alerts from these people and text or email them quickly. This is sure to excite youngsters. The second home screen is similar to the LiveSquare (sans the animation) and serves as a speed dial pad. The third home screen can be populated with widgets and shortcuts to various applications.
The phone has a full HTML web browser that allows you to open even complex websites and makes scrolling easy. Facebook Twitter, MySpace and YouTube are also well integrated. Powered by a Lithium-Ion (900mAh) battery that offers six hours talk time and 16 days standby time, the phone is small and light. If you’re looking for something different to other handsets, it’s only the youthful appeal that stands out. Despite cutting edges to bring down the price, it is good value for money.

Many of us must have gone really hyper on hearing the advent of 3-D TV. Just like you even I did. I screamed and I was eagerly waiting for the launch.
However, like every other new technology, even the 3-D TV screens and it’s technology are so naive that it was very certain that it will take a few years to fix those creepy bugs out and for the prices to drop to a modest rate. This will happen only if they are mass-produced and the public clamors for them.
Top manufacturers like Sony, Samsung and Mitsubishi are launching their consumer line of 3D ready, flat-screen televisions. As a matter of fact, companies like Panasonic has come out with its first 3-D TV in March, selling for $2,899.99.
So even if you have bought a new flat-screen or any other TV in the past few years, it’s unlikely that you’re going to shell out so much for a 3-D TV. I mean there is no point in jumping and buying one. We’ll have to wait till it actually gets a thumbs up from the masses.
Today the High-definition TV is becoming extremely popular by the day and more High Definition (HD) channels are being added. So until 3-D channels are added en mass and 3-D glasses become easier to look through, the benefits of buying a 3-D Television are few. Hang on guys!!! Just a couple of days before every household has a 3D TV.

No more of connecting your phone to those plug points. To charge your phone all you need is a cycle. The world’s leading phone manufacturer Nokia is planning to launch four new cheap phone models and a battery charger that gets powered by the energy generated from riding a bicycle.
This environmently friendly charger can be fitted into any Nokia phone with a 2 mm charger jack. How does the mobile get charged? Well these chargers use a dynamo to generate electricity from the movement of the wheels. Since the Bicycles are the most common mode of transport in many markets around the world, this is one additional benefit gained from an activity people are already doing. This environment friendly technology is also available cheaply too.
The charger comes along with a holder for securing the phone to the bicycle, and the price will vary according to market. Countries like Kenya, where the product was introduced, it is around15 euros ($18.43).So how does the product work? To begin charging your mobile, a cyclist will need to travel around four miles per hour( six kilometres per hour ) and the charging time will vary depending on battery model. A 10 minute journey at 10 kmh will produce around 28 minutes of talk time or 37 hours of standby time.
Logically the faster you ride your cycle, the more battery life you are going to generate. The charger will be available through selected retailers and the company’s online store before year-end. Nokia has decided to launch the four new phones in Kenya, an emerging market and also contain features designed for the needs of people in countries where access to electricity is limited, such as a six-week battery standby time.
